Widus Hotel and Casino Clark officially kicked off the Yuletide season with a whimsical Christmas tree-lighting ceremony held last November 29 at the hotel grand lobby.
A towering 20ft Christmas tree magnificently adorned by festive lights and traditional gold ornaments with white accents highlighted the occasion.
Widus Assistant Vice President for Corporate Planning and Compliance Neki Liwanag led the annual ceremony with a message of gratitude for the year’s blessings accompanied with a hint of excitement of what’s yet to come for the 12-year-old hospitality brand.
“2018 has been another fruitful and bountiful year for Widus. This special celebration is our way of giving thanks to everyone by looking back on all the memorable milestones we have shared with our guests throughout the year. We cannot wait for everyone to experience a new level of hospitality Wid Us for the years to come,” Liwanag said.

Also present at the tree-lighting ceremony were Clark Development Corporation President Noel Manankil, Widus President and CEO Daesik Han, Widus AVP for Finance Mitchell Estacio, Widus Human Resources Director Ana Christi Galura, and Widus Foundation Manager Ronnel Golimlim together with Clark Marriott executive committee members. Hotel guests, clients, partners, and key media personalities also came to witness the vibrant affair.
As the giant Christmas tree came alight during the ceremonial switch, kids from Children’s Joy Foundation brought in the spirit of Christmas with their lovely rendition of holiday tunes.
To further heighten the festive mood, internationally acclaimed chorale Tarlac Chamber of Choir filled the atmosphere with joy as they perform their signature award-winning songs.
Complimentary signature treats were also given to guests to sample Widus pastry team’s sweet and savory offerings this season.
