Heads up, Generika customers! You can now buy medicine using just your smartphones!
This was after Generika Drugstore teamed up with GCash, a QR-based payment technology platform from leading telecommunications pro vider Globe, which allows loyal customers of Generika to enjoy cashless transactions in twelve selected branches in Metro Manila.
In a media launch at the Colby Center in Taguig, Generika Drugstore President and CEO Dino Francisco said their customers can now experience hassle-free purchases of generic medicines and healthcare products without the need to carry cash.
He also said it will be convenient for customers to use their virtual wallets for other essentials without sacrificing budget for medicines.
“We are catering to the mass market and we’d like to give the best convenience to them,” Francisco told Manila Standard after a successful first transaction was made using GCash at the Bayani Road branch.
In fact, Generika Drugstore is the first healthcare provider in the country to use GCash's Scan-to-Pay service.
This is another innovation in Generika’s value-services for customers along with GeneriKard loyalty points program, Libreng Konsulta, MEDPadala, and Gamot Guide.
