Filipina atomweight Jomary “The Zamboanginian Fighter” Torres is just a couple of days away from her much-awaited clash against Malaysian prospect Jihin “Shadow Cat” Radzuan in ONE: MASTERS OF DESTINY at the Axiata Arena in Kuala, Lumpur, Malaysia on 12 July.

Torres, who’s looking to end a three-match slide, believes that she’s more than ready now to get back to her winning ways.

“I am in great shape both physically and mentally. I think this is the best I’ve felt since I started martial arts,” said Torres.

“My training camp went well and I was really locked in with what coach [Rene Catalan] teaches. It will only help me moving forward to get the win,” she added.

“I am so ready for Friday.”

Torres, who owns a 4-3 (win-loss) record as a pro said that her head coach in the Catalan Fighting System in Rene “The Challenger” Catalan had mapped out a perfect game plan for her and she’s satisfied with how they’ve prepared for it.

She can only thank Catalan for her efficient preparation.

“This is one of the best training camps I’ve had. Everyone in the gym helped me out with the challenge I’m facing in Malaysia,” Torres said.

“I feel like this is the fight where I can truly showcase my best, cause I know the true meaning of dedication and hard work. I am so focused right now,” she added.

“Coach Rene really locked in on me, he brought me to camps everywhere. He knows that I’m facing a strong opponent and he worked really hard to prepare me for it.

Completely aware of her challenge this coming Friday, Torres plans to go all-out against Radzuan, who is also raring to bounce back from a defeat herself.

“I know how dangerous of an opponent Jihin is, and I don’t want to be complacent against her. I worked on everything in my game and I’m ready to show it this Friday,” said Torres.

“I know she’s hungry for a win, but she’ll be facing the best Jomary Torres on Friday.”
