After four years, Manila will once again be the venue of this year’s annual international amateur expat pool event.
Dubbed “Asia Pool Challenge Manila 2018,” this sports event will happen on Aug. 23, 24 and 25 at the Grand Ballroom of Winford Manila Resort and Casino.
Participants from seven neighboring Asian countries, namely, Thailand, Indonesia, China, Vietnam, Singapore, Cambodia and Korea will join local players in the three days competition that will showcase the Philippines as the “Pool Capital of the World.”
The Philippines have earned such title after producing world champions like Efren “Bata” Reyes and Francisco “Django” Bustamante.
The first day of the event, Aug. 23, will be the “Super Singles” playoffs, while the second and third, Aug. 24 and 25, will be “Team Battles.”
“Asia Pool Challenge Manila 2018” is presented by Betchip, Winford, Navigator Japan and Keith Andy, in cooperation with Puyat Sports and Billiard Sports Confederation of the Philippines, under the Philippine Sports Commission.
Admission to the event is free.
