The Philippine Taekwondo Association, together with SMART/MVP Sports Foundation, will hold its 2019 National Instructors’ General Assembly on January 6 at the San Andres Sports Complex, San Andres St., Manila.
More than 500 national and regional head instructors and taekwondo officers from all over the country will attend the annual event to discuss PTA’s 2019 plans and tournament calendar as well as the officers’ (NCR and regional) contribution to the sports’ activities.
Makati Congressman and PTA Secretary General Monsour del Rosario said the general assembly will highlight the association’s accomplishments in 2018 and discuss the national and international competitions such as the World Taekwondo Championships, Asian Cadet and Junior Taekwondo Championships, World Cadet Championships, Asean Taekwondo Championships (to be hosted by PTA), the Southeast Asian Games to be held in Manila this year, the Philippine Taekwondo League and other important events.
Registration for the general assembly starts at 9 a.m. It will be followed by a refresher course on the new World Taekwondo Federation official rules and the updated techniques for Poomsae (forms) and Kyorugi (free sparring).
