Alaska finally has an import for the 2019 Philippine Basketball Association Governors’ Cup.

After its first choice was measured over the height limit, the Aces already found a replacement in former North Carolina Tar Heel Justin Watts.

Watts was already measured unofficially by Alaska and his height of 6-foot-4 is well within the import limit of 6-foot-5 for the season-ending tournament.

The fresh reinforcement is already in town and will plunge right away to start training with Alaska.

Branden Dawson, Alaska’s original choice, went over the height limit after getting measured last week, making him ineligible to play.

Out of the 12 teams, 11 of which already named imports weeks ago with Alaska being the last team to name its reinforcement.

Watts is fresh from a stint with King Szczecin in the Polish League where he averaged 9.9 points, 3.1 rebounds and 2.8 assists in 14 games.

He previously played in Australia, Uruguay, Poland, Qatar and Lithuania, among others.

The Governors’ Cup opens on September 20.
