EXPECT fireworks right away in the first playdate of the 2018 Philippine Basketball Association Commissioner’s Cup as two squads who recently swapped prominent players, collide right away on Sunday night.

Terrence Romeo will make his much-awaited debut for TNT KaTropa when the Texters face no less than his former team GlobalPort at 6:45 p.m. tomorrow night at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in the scheduled main event.

In the opener, Blackwater and Columbian Dyip, formerly Kia, go at it at 4:30 p.m. in the tournament’s initial game.

Aside from the imports that will be paraded, the main storyline to open the conference is the sight of Romeo in a different uniform after spending his first five years in the league as a Batang Pier.

The blending of Romeo with the Texters, his team-up with Jayson Castro and his grudge match against GlobalPort are all being anticipated.

As for the star guard, he is excited for this new chapter in his career.

“Sobrang excited na rin to start my career dito sa TNT. I hope makatulong naman ako sa team para ma-reach ‘yung goals namin,” said Romeo.

On the other hand, Moala Tautuaa, the former top pick that was swapped for Romeo, will also make his GlobalPort debut, saying  he is motivated more then ever to relaunch his career.

“I’m really pumped up to help the team (GlobalPort) in any way. They welcomed me well and the coaches give me the confidence I need. I’m really looking forward to our run,” said Tautuaa.

GlobalPort will parade returning import Malcolm White, while TNT KaTropa will introduce Jeremy Tyler to the league.

Blackwater will rely on prolific returnee Jarrid Famous, while Kia will parade newbie CJ Aiken.
