Pro league sticking to ‘Luzvimin’ format

THE Philippine Basketball Association is sticking to its Luzon-Visayas-Mindanao format for the coming 43rd season.

After deliberation, the league board decided that it’s best to keep the three-game format as it enjoyed success last season.

In the format, the PBA will play three different All-Star games in the different venues (one each for Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao), featuring the brightest stars of the season ahead.

For now, Batangas is being considered for the Luzon leg and Davao for the Mindanao leg, while nothing is set in stone for Visayas yet. Still, nothing is final as of yet.

Also, the league is considering to hold simultaneous games in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao, similar to what it did in the opening of the 2014-14 season.
