SEASON 6 of the UNTV Cup, a basketball league for a cause concept of Mr. Public Service Kuya Daniel Razon, begins today with four new teams at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.
The new squads include the Commission on Audit Enablers, Department of Agriculture Food Masters, Department of Health Health Achievers and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Drug Busters.
A total of P8.5 million worth of prizes are at stake on The League of Public Servants this season, with the champion getting P4,000,000 for its chosen charity organization. Second to fourth placers will receive P2,000,000, P1,000,000 and P500,000, respectively, while the rest of the non-placing participating teams will get P100,000.

The league is supervised by Commissioner Fortunato “Atoy” Co and Deputy Commissioner Ed Cordero since season 1 and games are regularly analyzed by veteran sports analyst Sev Sarmenta and basketball legend Ronnie Magsanoc.

The gates of Araneta Coliseum opens at 4 p.m. while program starts at 6 p.m., with performances by Sassa Dagdag, Jason Dy, Mela and Angel Misstres.
