AS Ginebra San Miguel Inc. celebrates the 30th year of the “Never Say Die” spirit, the company launched the Ganado Classics: 3-Decade Jersey Collection promo recently at the PBA Cafe, Metrowalk, Pasig City.
In partnership with the most well-known basketball team in Asia, GSMI and Barangay Ginebra San Miguel gave their die-hard fans a chance to own the jerseys that became a part of Ginebra San Miguel’s thrilling basketball history.
The team featured the names and numbers that kept Ginebra’s never-say-die spirit for the past three decades—from Sonny Jaworski’s legendary era to the team’s latest rising star Scottie Thompson.
Paolo Tupaz, brand manager of Ginebra promised that the brand will continue to give what the fans deserve.
“It’s really a celebration of the NSD attitude of Ginebra San Miguel. These jerseys are representations of the notable players from the different Ginebra eras. From the birth of the never-say-die spirit through the ‘Living Legend’ Robert Jaworski to the new generation of Gin Kings that continued the legacy,” Tupaz said.
PBA stars Mark Caguioa, Thompson and Bal David graced the affair to showcase their own jerseys and had some words to thank their avid fans who continue to support the famous franchise for the past 30 years.
Fans of the Gin Kings, old and new, can collect all five jerseys from Jaworski’s #7 of the First Edition (1985); Bal David #1 for Ginebra Na! jersey (1996); Mark “The Spark” Caguioa #47 for Barangay Ginebra Gin Kings jersey(1999); and Scottie Thompson #6 for Barangay Ginebra San Miguel jersey (2012).
Jaworski wasn’t able to attend the launch, but was able to send his greetings through a recorded video.
“Sigurado po ito ay magbibigay ng napakalaking excitement sa fans dahil alam naman natin na ang bawat uniform ay may istorya,” said Jaworski.
Five (5) seals of Ginebra San Miguel or Vino Kulafu or any three (3) caps of GSM Blue, GSM Blue Flavors and Primera Light Brandy entitle customers to purchase one jersey for only P100 at different supermarkets or convenience stores nationwide.
The special promo will run from May 1 to Aug. 31.
