They not only become better at the sport, they also learn discipline and hard work which help them not just in sports but also in school and everyday life.

Damien Christoph P. Lapaz joined the Play Category in the 6 to 8 age category of the recent Aquathlon in Davao City. His mother Julie Palo-Lapaz said she was amazed at Damien’s growth after he joined IRONKIDS.

“The discipline he learned from swimming is what really we admired from him and his coach. He was very keen in his form and how he can be better. When he started triathlons, we saw him competitive spirit come out and I think that’s very important to instill in children. That he has to compete with himself and know that he can be better but also understand that some children can also be better than him and that’s perfectly fine,” said Julie who works from home as Assistant Head for Operations in an online English business school.

Alaska Milk Associate Brand Manager Diane Guerta said they are encouraged by how children like Damien benefit in so many ways from joining Alaska Fortified IRONKIDS.

“It’s good that they get to remember values that Alaska Milk teaches through IRONKIDS. This is a partnership. We want children to learn good values such as determination, hard work and discipline,” said Guerta.

“This is on top of nutrition and an active lifestyle. These values. We teach them to the kids. So the coaches, like Coach Ani (Brown) and the senior athletes and even the professional athletes, help in imparting these lessons. They serve as good role models and inspiration to the children.”

Children who join Alaska Fortified IRONKIDS which is staged by Sunrise Events learn the importance of physical activity and exercise as they go out and play in the sun. They also learn the importance of proper nutrition and drinking milk.

Most important they learn discipline and hard work which help them not just in sports but also in school and everyday life.
