TWENTY-FOUR promising rookies from the collegiate leagues will be drafted and are expected  to see action in the coming Philippine Super Liga All-Filipino Conference.

The newbies will come from the National Collegiate Athletic Association and the University Athletic Association and a draft has been set on March 11.

Philippine Super Liga president and Chief Executive Officer Ramon “Tats” Suzara announced more details on the PSL’s calendar of activities for 2015.

“This is the second adjustment we had. The UAAP competitions is still going on,” said Suzara.

The drafting was supposed to take place last February, but it was moved until the end of the ongoing UAAP volleyball competitions.

Suzara revealed that a two-day draft camp will be done beforehand, and on March 6 to 7.

Tournament proper is on March 21 and the participants will include Petron, Foton, Philips Gold, Cignal, MLQU Athletic Club.

The participation of Ayala Land, PLDT, Meralco and Air 21 are still being finalized, he added.

Suzara believes there is a lot of excitement looming as the PSL continues on its third year with the All-Filipino Conference.

The presence of new players and new teams makes organizers confident that they can soon organize a club-level tournament at a semi-professional level.
