Air Force tossers win volley meet

PHILIPPINE Air Force 3 soared high with Judy Ann Caballejo and Camille Abanto and soaked in the limelight of ruling the Tanduay Light Women’s Beach Volleyball Invitational recently at the sand courts of the Cantada Sports Center in Bagumbayan, Taguig City.

Caballejo and Abanto shot down the spirited challenge of Philippine Air Force 1, bannered by Sherfyl June Denila and Gena Andaya in the second staging of this beach volleyball event supported by Tanduay Light, sports benefactor Lucio “Bong” Tan, Jr., Mapecon and Toyota Balintawak.

The beach volleyball invitational is organized by sportsmen Gerard Cantada and Edgardo “Boy” Cantada, who is a director of the Philippne Volleyball Federation 

Like in any sports event organized by the father-and-son promoting team, there were no entry fees and complimentary breakfast, lunch, dinner and everything in between were provided to all the participants, officials and invited guests. 

Top players Angel Antipuesto and Neneng Tapic of the Philippine Air Force,  Jhona San Pedro and Priscilla Catacutan, Cielo Palahang and Nicole Manila of Rizal Technological University,  Ronalyn Romerosa and Jonah Lorraine Hechanova of Earist Manila  and Nikcole Aquino and Jaycee Eva of Philippine Normal University also saw action in this tournament.
