Responders, Cavaliers dispute UNTV Cup title

PNP Responders and AFP Cavaliers collide one last time today, 5 p.m. at the Araneta Coliseum, with the winner emerging champion in the UNTV Cup Season 2.

PNP won Game 1, before AFP leveled the best-of-three series with a 75-64 victory.

The Cavaliers will be banking on the momentum they got from their last win aside from the spirited plays from veterans Eugene Tan, Ronaldo Pascual and Alvin Zuniga.

But count on the Responders to make the necessary adjustments so as to avoid another bridesmaid finish in the tournament.

PNP also made it to the finals last year, but bowed to the Judiciary Magis. The Magis failed to get past the semifinals this time, as they went down to the Cavaliers.

Olan Omiping, who for the second straight year, was chosen as the Most Valuable Player of the tournament, vowed to do everything so as to give PNP the coveted crown.

Serving as a curtain raiser is the match pitting anew the Legislatives and Executives in an exhibition game.
