Solons need to win by more than 15 pts

THE HOUSE of Representatives Solons will have to dish their best performance so as to avoid elimination in the 2nd UNTV Cup which will hold a double-header today at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.

Winless after three games, the Solons take on the Malacanang Patriots in the first game, needing to win by more than 15 points to advance into the next round in Group A.

A victory by HOR will create a three-way tie at 1-3 between the

Solons, Patriots and Senate, but HOR will be eliminated if they win by less than 15 once the quotient system is applied to break the tie.

The Solons will be bannered by 6’6” center Arnold Gamboa and Gerald Francisco, with support from Iloilo Rep. Niel Tupas Jr., Cebu Rep. Gerald Gullas and CIBAC Partylist Rep. Sherwin Tugna.

Malacanang, however, will be anchored by a determined trio in TESDA Chief Joel Villanueva, MarlonBergonio and Greg Malapit.

Defending champion Judiciary Magis guns for a 4-0 sweep in Group against Metro Manila Development Authority Black Wolves in the second game.

Celedon Camaso, Ariel Capus and John Hall will anchor the Magis’ drive to match the clean slate of PhilHealth (4-0) in Group B.
