The movie, the true-to-life story of National Hero Gen. Miguel Malvar as Supreme Commander of Filipino Forces during the 1899-1902 Phil-Am War is produced by JMV Film Production (JMV).
Villegas, who is a grandson of Gen. Malvar, said that the descendants of the Visayan Heroes led by Ma. Cristita Diaz Chiong, granddaughter of Visayan Revolutionary Hero Gen. Julio Diaz, also attended the movie casting.
