Viewers of GMA Network’s Inagaw na Bituin can look forward to more revelations and confrontations as the series comes down to its heart-tugging finale today.
Kyline Alcantara and Therese Malvar played the principal roles of Anna/Elsa and Ariela, respectively. Their worlds collided in the pursuance of their music careers which led to the unraveling of Anna’s true identity and the despicable secrets of her family.
When asked on their memorable scenes, Kyline shared that it was when Ariela (Therese) disclosed on national TV that her character was adopted. “I really wanted to do it very raw and yung normal reaction ng taong nalaman na ampon siya for the first time. It’s not easy but I hope I gave justice to that scene.”
As for Therese, her confrontation scene in an abandoned building with seasoned actress Angelika Dela Cruz, who portrayed the role of Ariela’s mother Lucy, was the most remarkable scene.
“We had heavy a confrontation scene that’s why it’s really unforgettable. I really love scenes like that, and to be in a scene with such a great actress is also an honor,” she revealed.
Joining Kyline and Therese in the musical series are A-list actors Sunshine Dizon, Gabby Eigenmann, Angelu De Leon, and Marvin Agustin as well as Renz Valerio, Manolo Pedrosa, Patricia Tumulak, Alyanna Asistio, and Jackie Lou Blanco.
Having been surrounded by these talented stars, Kyline and Therese learned many important things from their co-actors.
“They would always give me advice on how to hone my craft and to do things always with love and passion. They would always tell me that in this industry, you have to learn that less talk will give you less mistake,” shared Kyline.
On the other hand, Therese has another takeaway from Sunshine, “She told me that I should make my kontrabida role relatable despite the character’s purpose or role. Make them sympathize, and make them love to hate you as well.”
As the series ends, how far will Lucy go to exact revenge on her sister Belinda now that the fate of Anna lies in her hands? Will Anna finally find her way back home to her family and fulfill her dreams as a singer?
Under the helm of esteemed director Mark A. Reyes V, Inagaw Na Bituin airs its finale this afternoon after Bihag on GMA.
