Kapuso shows, personalities banner GMA Regional TV events

Last October, some of GMA Network’s top personalities and programs went to different parts of the country to headline festivals and mall shows via GMA Regional TV.

Taking part in Vigan City’s Raniag Festival on Oct. 20 were Dion Ignacio, Gil Cuerva, Arra Agustin, and Rita Daniela. 

This year’s MassKara Festival of Bacolod was made extra special with no less than Dingdong Dantes and Dennis Trillo. They were joined by their co-stars in the primetime series Cain at Abel, Solenn Heussaff and Sanya Lopez, during the Kapuso Mall Show in Robinsons Place Bacolod on Oct. 21.

Dramedy series Pamilya Roces also took part in the celebration. Actress Carla Abellana together with her co-star in the series, Rocco Nacino, had a Kapuso Mall Show in SM City Bacolod on the same day.

Joining them were the lead actors of the series Asawa Ko, Karibal Ko – actress Kris Bernal, returning KapusoRayver Cruz and actress Thea Tolentino.

A day before, actor Mike Tan serenaded the candidates of MassKara Queen 2018 at the SMX Convention Center in Bacolod City. One Western Visayas anchor Atty. Sed Cabaluna hosted the event.

Prior to the MassKara Festival, GMA Regional TV kicked off October with simultaneous Kapuso Mall Shows in Pangasinan and Zamboanga.

Last Oct. 12, The Stepdaughters cast led by Megan Young and Katrina Halili, together with Mikael Daez, Sef Cadayona, Joyce Ching, Donita Rose, and Karen Haniel drove to Pangasinan for a Kapuso Mall Show in Robinsons Place Pangasinan.

Spreading love as well were the stars of My Special Tatay headlined by Ken Chan who was with his co-stars Arra San Agustin, Jillian Ward, and Rita Daniela.

Down south, Rhian Ramos and Kylie Padilla led the celebration of Zamboanga City’s Hermosa Festival. Hosting the Kapuso Mall Show was comedian Mike “Pekto” Nacua.

The following day (Oct. 13), Ika-5 Utos stars Jake Vargas, Inah de Belen, and Jeric Gonzales flew to Palawan for a Kapuso Mall Show in Robinsons Place Palawan.

Meanwhile, Asawa Ko Karibal Ko stars Kris, Rayver, and Thea held a Kapuso Mall Show in Robinsons Place Iligan. They also went to Robinson Place Butuan last Oct.16 for another mall show.

Derrick Monasterio, Martin del Rosario, and Rodjun Cruz also made their fans happy during their Kapuso Mall Show in Robinsons Place Tagum last Oct. 14.

Taking part in Vigan City’s Raniag Festival last Oct. 20 were Victor Magtanggol’s Dion Ignacio, Taste Buddies host Gil Cuerva, and Arra and Rita of My Special Tatay.

On the other hand, Kapuso stars Max Collins, Mike Tan, and Kiko Estrada were at Robinsons Place Ormoc last Oct. 20.

The cast of Pamilya Roces also invaded Cebu last Oct. 26 with two simultaneous mall shows. Carla, Sophie, and Rocco headlined the Kapuso Mall Show in Gaisano Capital South while Gabbi Garcia, Shaira Diaz, Andre Paras, Manolo Pedrosa, and Jasmine-Curtis Smith held a separate Kapuso Mall Show at Gaisano Island Mall Mactan.

A huge crowd joined Katrina Halili on the same day when she opened the Ati-Atihan Festival at Pastrana Park, in Kalibo, Aklan.

The following day, (Oct. 27) Cain at Abel’s Dingdong and Dennis with Solenn and Sanya were at Robinsons Place Pangasinan for another Kapuso Mall Show. Present as well were the anchors and correspondents of leading North Central Luzon newscast Balitang Amianan.

Kylie Padilla wowed the audience when she donned her Amihan costume during the opening of World Costume Festival at Calle Crisologo, Vigan City last Oct. 28. Also serving as one of the judges of the said competition wasRodjun Cruz.

“Every month, we carefully prepare our line-up of activities to be able to bring our Kapuso programs and personalities closer to their fans,” says GMA Regional TV Vice President and Head Oliver Amoroso. “October was no exception. On top of the mall shows, we mounted activities to celebrate the biggest festivals such as MassKara and Raniag. And they should look forward to more surprises before the year ends,” he adds.
