GMA Network’s Lip Sync Battle Philippines returned for its 3rd season and will air its pilot episode today.
Hosted by Michael V. together with Iya Villania-Arellano as color commentator, this Philippine franchise of the world-renowned celebrity lip sync competition is poised to become the country’s newest Sunday night habit with a fresh line-up of celebrity battlers and new alliances, all geared up to win the most coveted Lip Sync Battle Championship belt.
Under the direction of Rico Gutierrez, Lip Sync Battle Philippines Season 3 opened with a sample of the lip sync challenges to come when Michael V. and Iya engaged in a showdown of skills with hit songs from Bruno Mars and Yoyoy Villame.
The real battle started off with a two-on-two battle featuring the stars of the hit drama, Kambal, Karibal. Former Lip Sync Battle Philippines tag team champion Miguel Tanfelix and Bianca Umali returned to compete as rivals, with Jeric Gonzales and Kyline Alcantara, respectively, as their lip-sync partners.
The Miguel-Jeric and Bianca-Kyline tandems surprised everyone with their daring song choices for both rounds of the competition.
