ABS-CBN is Golden Dove Awards Best Station

The Kapamilya network picked up its eighth Best TV Station Award for 2017 and hauled a total of 25 trophies for its entertainment and news shows, journalists, and stars at the 25th Golden Dove Awards of the Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas (KBP).

 "FPJ's Ang Probinsyano" star Coco Martin is named Best Actor for a Drama Program

The Kapamilya network also took home another Best TV Station Award (Provincial) for ABS-CBN Cagayan de Oro, one of its regional stations across the country.

Meanwhile, Karen Davila was honored with the Best TV Public Service Program Host for My Puhunan, while Atom Araullo was named Best Public Affairs Host for Red Alert.

Bayani Agbayani is named Best Actor for a Comedy Program for his performance in the ABS-CBN TVplus original production "Funny Ka, Pare Ko"

Kapamilya stars also dominated the Golden Dove Awards including Coco Martin who won Best Actor for a Drama Program and Sylvia Sanchez, Best Actress for a Drama Program.

The Greatest Love was also recognized as the Best Drama Program.

"Matanglawin" host Kuya Kim receives the trophy for Best Science and Technology Program

Team YeY!, a children’s program aired on ABS-CBN TVplus’ YeY! channel on weekdays, picked up its third award for the year as it was named Best TV Children’s Program for its “Sound Check” segment. 

Bayani Agbayani won Best TV Actor for a Comedy Program for his performance in CineMo’s Funny Ka, Pare Ko, while Angelica Panganiban won Best TV Actress for a Comedy Program for her work in Banana Sundae.

Other winners include ASAP (Best TV Variety Program), Home Sweetie Home (Best TV Comedy Program), Matanglawin (Best TV Science and Technology Program), Tapatan ni Tunying’s “Trono” episode (Best TV Public Affairs Program), TV Patrol Central Mindanao (Best TV Newscast-Provincial), ABS-CBN Iloilo’s Derecho (Best TV Public Affairs Program-Provincial), and ABS-CBN’s Isang Pamilya Tayo Ngayong Pasko (Best TV Station Promotional Material), FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano Ligtas Tips (Best Television PSA), DZMM’s Fastbreak (Best Radio Sports Program), DZMM Radyo Negosyo (Best Public Service Program), DZMM’s Pasada Sais Trenta (Best Public Affairs Program), DZMM’s Dr. Love Hugot (Best Radio Station Promotional Material), Zhander Cayabyab (Best Field Reporter), DYAB Radyo Patrol Balita Alas Dose (Best Radio Newscast-Provincial), DZMM Radyo Patrol Balita Alas Siyete and (Best Newscast-Metro Manila).

The KBP is the premier broadcast media organization in the country composed of owners and operators of radio and TV stations that organizes the Golden Dove Awards, which aims to recognize excellent practice of broadcasting in the Philippines.
