A deliriously romantic pre-Valentine treat this February, That Thing Called Tadhana hits the screens on Feb. 4.

The film was one of the official entries of the 10th Cinema One Originals Film Festival in November last year, earning rave reviews from critics and very positive feedback from fans.

Angelica Panganiban and JM De Guzman find themselves in the same
boat in That Thing Called Tadhana

Written and directed by Antoinette Jadaone, who also directed 2014’s Beauty In A Bottle and Relaks, It’s Just Pag-ibig, her new film is a romantic comedy with ABS-CBN’s most talented and accomplished young stars—Angelica Panganiban and JM De Guzman.

It effectively and successfully puts an unmistakably Pinoy flavor to the age-old question that has been asked by countless hapless lovers throughout the ages: where do broken hearts go?

In the case of That Thing Called Tadhana, two broken-hearted individuals Mace (Panganiban) and Anthony (De Guzman) unexpectedly meet in an airport in Europe and they develop an unlikely kinship that leads them to an unforgettable sojourn to Northern Philippines.

Together, Mace and Anthony explore Manila, Baguio, and Sagada where they discover if their friendship could transcend to the next level to mend each other’s broken hearts.

The film has the right blend of romance and comedy laced with realistic, down-to-earth, and relatable dialogue. Angelica and JM deliver superb performances as they ignite and arouse the sensibilities of every moviegoer with their palpable on-screen chemistry.

For the bravura of her portrayal of Mace, Angelica won Best Actress at the GAWAD Tanglaw—an academe-based group that honors exceptional achievements in local filmmaking. Angelica also bagged the Best Actress trophy in the 2014 Cinema One Originals Film Festival.

That Thing Called Tadhana is distributed by Star Cinema.
