Singer-songwriter and TV host Karylle ushers in the Christmas season with the release of “It’s Christmas Time,” a collaboration between her and Indonesian singer Calvin Jeremy. The song is co-written by Alvin Cornista and is released by AtbiC Records and distributed worldwide by Warner Music Indonesia.
In an interview with the press, Karylle said that the single talks about the spirit of Christmas, celebrating love among family members, friends, and loved ones.
“The song celebrates this special period of togetherness and the perfect time to share love and joy with each other,” she beams. “We want to make this song as an anthem that reminds the world that it’s Christmas time.”
Both Karylle and Calvin hope that in the coming years, this song can be something that people enjoy whenever the Christmas season nears.
Asked how they knew each other and how their collaboration came about, Calvin said that he learned about Karylle through his sister, who studied in the country. His sister also acts as his manager.”
“He admires Karylle and ultimately inspired by her music,” Calvin’s sister said during a brief chat. “Karylle has many fans in Indonesia through the series The Kitchen Musical, which also starred Christian Bautista a few years ago.”
For Jeremy, working with Karylle is a dream come true. He said that there are many things in his career that started only as a dream or a vision
“I’ve always realized that the reality would always be better. Karylle is the perfect duet partner,” Jeremy says adding that they are going to release the music video for “It’s Christmas Time,” which will be shot in the Philippines.
He further said that the video will make people feel that Christmas is not just a religious celebration, but also a season that brings warmth to many people.
“It’s a time of festivity that we spend with people we love after a year of hard work. We want this to be an iconic song, which is why we handed it over to Warner Music and AtbiC Records to be distributed worldwide and to be enjoyed by all the fans especially of Karylle’s,” Calvin Jeremy shares.
“It’s Christmas Time” is now available in all digital platforms worldwide. The music video will be released a few days before Christmas when Karylle visits Indonesia.
