Is Julie Anne feeling pressured to have another Diamond record?

Early this year, pop sweetheart Julie Anne San Jose released a single called “Nothing Left,” and in less than an hour, it went straight to the top spot of iTunes Philippines chart.

But this is just a tiny milestone for someone who has a Diamond Record Award under her belt. In these times when people like hearing music but don’t want to pay for it, Julie Anne’s 2012 self-titled album sold more than 150,000 units.

She attributed this achievement of a diamond-seller album to her fans and said this made her feel more inspired to create music but don't feel burdened on replicating her previous album's feat.

“There’s pressure but at the end of the day it’s all about the people who support me. I wouldn’t achieve it and I wouldn’t be where I am at right now if not because of their unparalleled support. I just want to sing and perform,” Julie Ann told Manila Standard during the 3 Stars, 1 Heart media conference.

She further said that she’s happy that she was able to sell records, but all she wanted to do now is to create music and entertain people.

“Platinum or Diamond awards will be just a big bonus,” she said.

GMA Network brings ‘3 Stars, 1 Heart’ to Dagupan with Julie Anne San Jose, Regine Velasquez-Alcasid, and Christian Bautista.

While preparing for a new album, Julie Anne has been selling sold out concerts, too. One of her recent onstage outings was the 3 Stars, 1 Heart concert held in Cebu where she shared the stage with Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez-Alcasid and balladeer Christian Bautista.

Now, due to its success, GMA Entertainment Content Group (ECG) and GMA Regional TV (GMA RTV) are bringing the concert series to Pangasinan on April 14 at the CSI Stadia, Dagupan City.

According to Julie Anne, fans must prepare to be entertained and experience powerful performances.

“There’s going to be a number where we will sing the pieces we used to perform when we were still joining singing contests. And then we’ll have ‘exchange hits’ prod where we will sing each other’s hits,” the 23-year-old singer said on what to expect from the concert.

For the Dagupan leg of the concert, Regine will treat the Kapusong Pangasinense and the rest of the audience to an exceptional song repertoire. Meanwhile, Christian will showcase his expertise in performing hit love songs that people of all ages could relate to.

“Our first leg in Cebu was a huge success. This is why we are excited to bring ‘3 Stars, 1 Heart’ to the rest of the country,” says GMA Vice President for Business Development Department III Darling de Jesus Bodegon.

“Our partnership with Regional TV aims to reach more people in the regions through live concerts. We are honored that we have Regine, Christian, and Julie Anne together in one big concert. This is our treat to our loyal Kapuso viewers all over the country,” she adds.

“The 2nd leg of the 3 Stars, 1 Heart concert brings us nothing but immense pride,” says GMA RTV Vice President and Head Oliver Amoroso. “It’s been all worth the effort, most especially with the public reception we experienced at the first leg in Cebu.”

Amoroso further said that audience can expect a concert that features voices, genres and signature songs of Regine, Christian and Julie Anne in sync and in harmony with each other.

“This is why we are bringing 3 Stars, 1 Heart closer to our Kapuso viewers, this time around in Dagupan City. What better way to celebrate this year’s Bangus Festival than to have three of Asia’s most-sought performers in one show. Those who will watch the concert will have a great time, no doubt,” he said.
