GMA website named News Online of the Year by Rotary Club of Manila

Leading broadcasting company GMA Network claims another victory this year as its news website GMA News Online was recognized as News Online of the Year along with other major awards for Kapuso news and radio personalities at the Rotary Club of Manila Journalism Awards.

The awarding ceremony was held on June 6 at the Makati Ballroom of the New World Makati Hotel, Makati City.

In the Television category, Unang Hirit and I Juander co-host Susan Enriquez won as Television Female Broadcaster of the Year while News Producer Tina Panganiban-Perez was named as Television Female Reporter of the Year.

Meanwhile, for radio, Super Radyo DZBB’s Sino and Dobol A sa Dobol B co-anchor Ali Sotto took home the Radio Female Broadcaster of the Year award. Joel Reyes Zobel, who hosts Anong Say Nyo, Sino, and Bangon na Bayan, bagged the Radio Male Broadcaster of the Year award.

Established in 1967, the Rotary Club of Manila (RCM) organized the RCM Journalism Awards to recognize the outstanding contributions of individuals in print, television, ad radio. Awardees were carefully deliberated upon by the Journalism Awards Committee and its club membership. The RCM is first in Asia and on its Centennial Year Milestone Celebration (1919-2019).
