The Organique Purple Run 2017, the very first fun run organized by Organique Inc., was successfully held on Oct. 8, with close to 6,000 participants that included competitive runners, first time fun run attendees and groups of families and friends at McKinley West, Bonifacio Global City. Part of the proceeds of the event was donated to the beneficiaries of ABS-CBN’s TV Patrol’s 30th Outreach Program through Lingkod Kapamilya.
As part of the donation, Organique participated in the medical mission and gift-giving to Persons With Disabilities (PWDs) in Novaliches, Quezon City on Sept. 28.
The race categories were 3K, 5K and 10K. The gun start was led by Organique’s Executive Vice President Catherine Salimbagon and Marketing Director Lerma Sta. Cruz-Mendoza, at 5:30 a.m..
Several celebrities were spotted in the fun run including Organique brand ambassadors Tweetie de Leon-Gonzales, Regine Tolentino, and Cory Quirino. Regine kept everyone’s spirits in high gear with her zumba dance routines before and after the run.
Also in attendance were trade and media partners including ABS-CBN personalities led by Bernadette Sembrano and Gretchen Fullido. Bernadette received the donation of Organique for Lingkod Kapamilya, while Gretchen hosted the live updates of the run. Part the fun run as well is the company’s very own Organique Triathlon Team who came all the way from Cebu to show their support.
Runners were treated to free Organique Acai Premium Blend and Organique Acai Freeze Dried Capsule samples to boost their energy all throughout the day, as well as help them jumpstart their journey to wellness. The company also provided fun activities for the kids like inflatable area and freebies from sponsors. Lastly, the health run of the year was punctuated with a color blast that literally painted the town purple.
