Born in New York City, Orlando first made his breakthrough at the age of 16 with the hit “Halfway To Paradise” written by Grammy-award winning singer songwriter Carole King.

He further rose to popularity as the lead singer of Tony Orlando and the Dawn, the American show business professional is responsible for such immortal hits as “Tie A Yellow Ribbon Round The Ole Oak Tree,” “Candida,”  “Sweets For My Sweets,” “Save the Last Dance,” Has Anybody Seen My Sweet Gypsy Rose,” and “Knock three Times” among others.

Also known as an actor who made cameo appearances in TV and film, the half Greek, half Puerto Rican American treasure has released six albums that spawned multiple feel-good bubblegum hits on Billboard 100 charts during his prominence.
