UP student tops civil engineering exam

University of the Philippines student Jaydee Niere Lucero topped the Civil Engineering Licensure examination given this month by the Professional Regulation Commission.

Lucero garnered a percentage rating of 97.20 to lead the top 18 graduates who made it to the top successful examinees.

The PRC announced that 6,262 out of 13,887 passed the examinations.

After UP’s Lucero, Bicol University-Legazpi graduate Norejun de Guzman Osial placed second while Camarines Sur Polytechnic College-Nabua graduate John Rey Moreno Pacturanan placed third.

Churchelle Mendez Ballon (UP Los Baños) made it to fourth place while tied in fifth place are Jan Lawrence Torres Alberto (Don Honorio Ventura Technological State University) and Michael Angelo Ador Magbitang (Rizal Technological University).

The others in the Top 10 list are Sherwin Yusay Alipio (Carlo A. Hilado Memorial State College-Talisay), Kevin Miscala Melendres (University of San Carlos), Raul Ligaya Mendoza Jr. (UP-Diliman), Xavier Sorilla Altamera (Western Institute of Technology), Jayvee Rodriguez Marjes (UP Diliman), Kenmark Jewel Vinoya Biag (University of Pangasinan).

Also making it to the list are Ma. Patricia Leriezz Johnston Corpuz (UP-Diliman), Jinno Edison Conti enriquez (UST), John Ivan Manticajon Gapud (University of San Carlos), Wilson Kristoffer Dimaano Ricarte (UST), Jared Bihag Jumalon (University of Cebu), and John Brix Calanoc Pronuncial (Technological Institute of the Philippines-Manila).

UP- Los Baños, meanwhile, is listed as the top-performing school in the November 2018 licensure examination, followed by Carlos A. Hilado Memorial State College-Talisay, UP Diliman, Bohol Island State University-Tagbilaran, University of Pangasinan, and University of Santo Tomas.
