Construction workers on Thursday discovered at least six kilos of shabu worth P40.8 million buried underground near the gate of a posh village in Fairview, Quezon City.

Chief Supt. Joselito Esquivel Jr. of the Quezon City Police District said the workers were digging in front of the Geneva Garden Subdivision on Fleurdelis Street, Barangay North Fairview, for a drainage project when they made the discovery around 10 am.

Village chairman Manuel Chua immediately sought police assistance upon learning about the incident.

Esquivel ordered the Station 5 commander to conduct an investigation to identify those responsible for keeping the illegal drugs underground.
