Wet Friday seen amid ‘Karding’

Tropical storm “Karding” (international name “Yagi”) has maintained its strength moving east-northeast and will continue to enhance the southwest monsoon or  habagat affecting the entire country on Thursday.”©”©

According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration’s 4 pm forecast, “Karding” was last observed at 1,160 kilometers east of Basco, Batanes with maximum winds of 65 kms per hour and gustiness of 80 kph.

Scattered moderate to heavy rains are expected over northern and central Luzon, especially the western section beginning Friday.”©”©

The weather bureau said Metro Manila, Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Bicol Region and Western Visayas will be cloudy with isolated rains and thunderstorms caused by the southwest monsoon.

Mindanao and the Visayas will have cloudy skies with isolated rains and thunderstorms.

Cagayan Valley region will experience partly cloudy skies with isolate rain showers caused by localized thunderstorms.”©”©

The western section of Luzon will have strong gale from the southwest with rough to very rough coastal waters, making sea travel risky.”©

Temperature in Metro Manila ranges from 24-32 degrees Celsius; Tuguegarao City 24-33 degrees Celsius; Baguio City 16-20 degrees Celsius; Angeles City 24-30 degrees Celsius; Lipa City 24-30 degrees Celsius; Metro Cebu 25-32 degrees Celsius; and Metro Davao 26-32 degrees Celsius.
