FORMER senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. was rushed to the hospital on Saturday after complaining about vomiting, severe headache and hypertension, the Philippine National Police said.

PNP spokesman Senior Supt. Dionardo Carlos said Revilla was first taken to the emergency room of the PNP General Hospital inside Camp Crame at around 9:00 a.m. but the doctors said he should be  transferred to the St. Luke’s Medical Center in Taguig City.

“He experienced vomiting, severe headache and hypertension,” Carlos said, adding that the former senator was brought to St. Luke’s Medical Center in Taguig on board a PNP ambulance and arrived at 11:40 a.m.

The former senator’s wife Bacoor Mayor Lani Mercado said Revilla vomited twice on Saturday morning and was experiencing severe headaches and high blood pressure.

“We got worried due to [the] family history of aneurysm,” she said, adding that Revilla underwent several tests and will be under observation at the hospital.

Revilla and former Senators Jinggoy Estrada and Juan Ponce Enrile were charged with plunder in 2014 for allegedly allocating millions of pesos of their pork barrel funds to fake non-government organizations set up by businesswoman Janet Lim Napoles.

They were also charged with graft in connection with their allegedly anomalous priority development assistance fund disbursements: from 2006 to 2010 for Revilla, 2004 to 2010 for Ejercito, and 2004 to 2012 for Enrile.
