Saudi Arabia will hire more than 1,200 foreign nurses and 100 respiratory therapists, including Filipinos, the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration said.

The POEA said qualified Filipino nurses who are interested to work in Saudi Arabia must register with the POEA, adding that the applicants do not need to pay any placement fee.

POEA deputy administrator Jocelyn Sanchez said that it is a government to government hiring scheme and there is no need to pay for any placement fee.

The salary for specialist nurses can start at P56,000 a month while respiratory therapists could earn as high as P109,000 a month.

The POEA also advised applicants not to deal with any recruitment agency since it is a government to government hiring scheme.

“Applicants should be aware of illegal recruiters who could post false information on social media,” the POEA added.
