Felipe Garcia Macapagal Jr. of Tondo, Manila and Candaba, Pampanga succumbed to heart failure last July 9.
He was 67.
He is survived by his children Philip Howard, Mark Lester, Vincent Kevin, and Regina; sister Anita Broas, brother Antonio, fondly called “Tonymac” among his peers in the media profession; uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, and grandchildren.
A graduate of University of Santo Tomas’s College of Commerce, the deceased used to work with Banco Filipino before it was ordered closed by the Securities and Exchange Commission in the early 80’s. After which, he found job at the Department of Education’s Division of City Schools—Manila until his retirement a few years ago.
His remains lie in state at the Lorenzo funeral parlor along J. Nolasco St. (formerly Sande Street) in Tondo, Manila.
Interment is on July 14 (Sunday) at the North Cemetery after the 2 p.m. Holy Mass at the Sto. Niño Parish Church.
