Gaming technology firm Globaltech Mobile Online Corp. has condemned the brazen and chilling attack on one of its lawyers, Val Crisostomo, who was on his way to court in Dagupan, Pangasinan Friday morning when a lone gunman shot him dead.
Globaltech legal head Bernard Vitriolo said Crisostomo was one of their lawyers who filed cases against several agents of the National Bureau of Investigation for allegedly conducting illegal raids in their Peryahan ng Bayan games in Pangasinan.
“We condemn in the strongest terms this cold-blooded murder in broad daylight of our lawyer who was merely doing his job,” Vitriolo said.
“The attack was not just on our lawyer and our company, but also on the country’s justice system as it seemed to send a message that our enemies, the enemies of Peryahan ng Bayan, do not subject themselves to the laws of men and the rule of law,” he added.
Vitriolo said Globaltech will continue to operate Peryahan ng Bayan games given the status quo ante order issued by the Court of Appeals.
“This will not stop us from pushing for our PnB games as a solution to the deficiencies and weaknesses of the Small Town Lottery program of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office.”
