Police and agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) arrested the sister-in-law and niece of Former Department of Agriculture (DA) Secretary Proceso Alcala.
This was in a drug buy-bust operation in Leveriza Subdivision, Isabang, Tayabas City on Sunday night.
Quezon Provincial Police Office Director Antonio Yarra identified the suspects as Maria Fe Abutin Alcala and her daughter Toni Anne.
Confiscated from them were 24 plastic sachets of ‘shabu’ worth over P 212,000.
Yarra says, Maria Fe is the wife of Cerilo Alcala, the younger brother of Ex-DA Secretary Alcala and Incumbent Quezon Second District Representative Vicente Alcala.
