Caviteña aims for back-to-back win in Miss Tourism WorldwideCamille Joy Ang will compete against thirty delegates from around the world in the Miss Tourism Worldwide 2019 pageant in Batam, Indonesia. Ang, a 19-year-old student of Cruise Line and Hotel Management at Lyceum University of the Philippines, will try to keep the title for the Philippines won by Zara Carbonell in 2018.

“There’s the pressure, following Zara’s win last year, but I feel confident and capable to try to bring home the title again for the country,” said the charmer from Imus, Cavite.

Camille Joy Ang, 19, is currently is Indonesia representing the Philippines in the second edition of Miss Tourism Worldwide. 

Ang won over several applicants in special screening conducted by the local franchise holder, the Queen of Hearts Foundation, Inc., makers of Mrs. Asia-Pacific Philippines pageant, headed by Mitzie Go Gil.

The teen beauty, who was a candidate in Mutya Pilipinas 2019, will bring three gowns, yellow, pink and white, as required by the pageant organizers, as well as a national costume, all by the award-winning Filipino designer Edwin Uy. She will be performing a Hawaiian-Tahitian number for the Talent competition.

“My idol is Catriona Gray. I think she’s the perfect embodiment of a true Filipina. Traits that make me proud as a Filipina is our being conservative, patriotic and hospitable to other people,” said Ang whose advocacy is to promote her county’s rich heritage, culture and tradition.

The Miss Tourism Worldwide 2019, on its second year, is presented by Lumiere International and will have its Coronation Finals night on Sept. 22, 2019 in Batam, Indonesia. The winner will reign as the pageant’s official ambassadress.

Bicolana businesswoman named Mrs. Philippines- Albay 2019

Businesswoman and benefactress Michelle Vitug Encarnacion was crowned Mrs. Philippines Albay 2019 in a conferment ceremony held recently at Discovery Suites in Ortigas, Mandaluyong City. 

The title gave the Bicolana mother and wife, who just turned 42 on Sept. 15, the right to compete in Mrs. Philippines International 2019 pageant in December.

A woman of substance, Encarnacion is the president and CEO of Belmere Skin Care Centre, a popular wellness and beauty clinic that promotes a holistic approach to a lifestyle of beauty and wellness. A sponsor of beauty pageants, Encarnacion’s advocacy is giving back to charitable institutions like the SMILE (Share More in Love and Effort) Foundation, which helps out indigent Filipinos. 

Encarnacion shares her time by holding seminars and feeding programs, providing scholarships to the poor and donating school supplies.
