Cementaid Philippines, Inc. recently inaugurated a newly expanded warehouse adjacent to its manufacturing plant in Barangay San Antonio in San Pedro, Laguna. The 470-square-meter facility was built to meet the increased demand in the construction industry for concrete admixtures, said Rodillo dela Pasion, senior manager for Cementaid Philippines and Indonesia.

At the opening of the new facility were (from left): president and chairman of the board of Cementaid Philippines Inc. John Lindsay Aldred; San Pedro City councilor Bobot Berroya; associate director for sales-Asia Anthony Sung; associate director for admin and finance Estella Fung;  dela Pasion; and managing director of Cementaid group of companies Michael John Aldred.

“We’ve seen a significant increase in demand for quality concrete waterproofing products as infrastructure continues to be a high priority in public works,” dela Pasion explained.

Cementaid International, an Australian-based firm,  pioneered a type of permanent waterproofing admixture called hydrophobic pore-blocking ingredient (HPI) that prevents the absorption of moisture, and helps maintain the structural integrity of concrete.
