Epson Philippines Corp. said it expects to sustain a 20-percent growth this year, boosted by its printer and scanner businesses.
Epson Philippines senior general manager and marketing director Eduardo Bonoan said the company posted an average annual growth of 20 percent over the past five years.
The company rose 23 percent in 2018, faster than the 14-percent expansion in 2017.
Bonoan said the majority of sales came from printers and scanners at 70 percent, followed by business segments at 14 percent, visual instruments at 11 percent and commercial and industrial at 5 percent.
“For fiscal 2019, the challenge is to continue to sustain this strong growth trend,” Bonoan said.
He said Epson maintained its dominance in the inkjet market at 54 percent and held the number one position for the past four years.
Bonoan said Epson’s projector market share remained strong at 48 percent, giving the company the number one position for five straight years.
