Thailand’s hottest girl next door, Chontida ‘Amie’ Chatsirichai, was named Jewel of the World 2019 at the finals held last week at GT-Toyota Asian Center Auditorium, Diliman, Quezon City.
Chatsirichai was crowned by Neena Macaire Bezuidenhout of South Africa, the first ever Jewel of the World winner.
The 28-year-old model won the FHM Girls Next Door title in 2012 and Miss Grand Satun in 2017.
The Philippines’ Maria Divine Angela Veranga, a 26-year-old Tourism Management student, was first runner-up, while China’s Huli Xie, who bagged the Miss Photogenic award, placed 2nd runner-up. Miss Ecuador Susy Sacoto and Miss South Africa Kyla Maloney were 3rd and 4th runners up, respectively.
Miss Japan Wakaba Suda won Miss Friendship, Miss USA Marshalla Peral Kahleck was Miss Talent and Miss Myanmar Nang Cherry won Best in National Costume.
The second edition of Jewel of the World is a presentation of JOP, which aims to promote education of Philippine culture and the arts, jointly with Jewel of the World Philippines headed founder and president John De la Vega.
