Where adventurers take a break

Most hotels focus on the same things: comfortable beds, swimming pool facility, delicious f&b offerings, indulgent spa services—the vital elements of a relaxing stay. But this new hotel in Subic climbs up a little bit higher with its rock climbing wall and adventure-focused facilities.

“Most of the corporate crowd now is into active lifestyle. Everyone is doing the swimming pool and I saw a niche on the biking sport and that’s what we provide here at Le Charme. Our rooms are big enough for your bike and other sports equipment,” says Josephine Floresca, founder and managing director of Le Charme Suites.

THE ONLY WAY IS UP. Le Charme Suites in Subic has its own outdoor rock climbing wall, along with other adventure-focused facilities.

Le Charme Suites in Subic was conceptualized specifically for the active person. One of its most unique features are the bike racks placed in front of the rooms and along the hallways. Its lobby and elevators were designed to accommodate guests with bicycles and other large baggage and recreational equipment.

Throughout guests’ stay, they are promised to experience the charmed life. Aside from being spacious, each room is complete with top-notch amenities and services.

Its Standard Room and Deluxe King are perfect for on-the-go professionals who need to unwind after a long business meeting and relax in the space of luxury.

The Deluxe Twin is nothing short of comfort with its two queen size beds, perfect for barkadas and families. The Suite, on the other hand, lets guests soak up the sun from the veranda and leisurely lounge in their own mini living room.

Le Charme’s Taichi spa offers relaxing signature massages such as Taichi Foot Reflexology, Traditional Hilot, Chinese Dry Massage, and Sports Massage. It also has Swedish Massage, Shiatsu Massage, Combination Massage, and Body and Foot Massage. Guests can also opt for Ventosa, Hot stone, Quaasa, and Hand and Scalp Massage. Guests can also use its Jacuzzi and sauna, or avail services at the salon.

“We also do functions here. Our conference room is equipped with video conference equipment. We currently have a very high demand because the Subic Bay Convention Center is under renovation; people are inquiring if we have a function hall for workshops and seminars so that’s what we’re working on now,” shares Floresca.

The hotel even has its own fitness coach to guide guests should they want to bike around the area or ride a stationary bike on the rooftop beside the 4-ft pool. Beginners can also try their hand at rock climbing. Completing the fun experience is the hotel’s  VR (virtual reality) facility.

Cyclists staying at Le Charme can park their bikes inside the hotel's guests rooms.

Outside the property are mountains and seas. A 30-minute to an hour drive takes guests to various adventure spots such as the Zoobic Safari, where they can have a close encounter with tigers and other animals; Camayan Resort, where they can enjoy sand and sea; and Ocean Adventure, where they can have an encounter with dolphins.

Further immerse in nature at Pamulaklakin Trail where Tata Kasoy teaches trekkers how to craft survival tools made of bamboo and how a person can get by without having much. The trail, true to its name, is blooming with nature’s bounty such as trees standing there for over a century.

And in between those adventures, guests can fuel up with sumptuous delicacies served at Mi Tapas or try the only Asian fusion restaurant in Subic—Teppan 101.

After staying a night or two, guests return to their busy lives filled with stories of adventures.
