Senate Ways and Means Committee Chairman Senator Sonny M. Angara recently called attention to the housing crisis at a business meeting of the Chamber of Real Estate and Builders’ Associations, Inc. (CREBA).
Angara vowed to work with CREBA by intensifying housing production to the level of 500,000 units per year, or 10 million homes in 20 years. CREBA supports a bill which pools together a P270-billion Comprehensive Home Financing Program (CHFP) to grant long-term and affordable homeloans to low-income earners.
