The Trade Department recognized Clark Freeport Zone as the top exporter in Central Luzon.
A report by the Trade Department showed that the presence of the electronics manufacturing corporations inside the freeport contributed to making the electronics industry the top performing export industry in the region.
Trade regional director Judith Angeles said electronic firms in Clark boosted Pampanga’s total exports.
Pampanga generated export receipts of $4.9 billion or 60 percent of the total export volume of Central Luzon.
“Pampanga remained the top source of exports for Central Luzon due to the presence of electronics manufacturing companies in the Clark Freeport Zone,” Angeles said.
Among the top exporters in Clark are SFA Semiconductor Philippines, L&T International Group Philippines, Texas Instruments, Nanox Philippines, Yokohama Tire and Philippines Inc., SMK Industries Inc. and HLD Clark Steel Pipe Co. Inc.
