Vibal Publishing House Inc., the leading publisher of educational materials in the country, announced that they will be releasing an augmented reality app for textbooks called LearnLive AR starting June this year.

Vibe Technologies, the technology arm of the publishing house turned digital-services company, developed the free augmented reality mobile app that brings its readers one step closer to classroom digitization since they began digitization in 1986.

“Bridging traditional methods of teaching and digital learning has been made easy through LearnLive AR,” said Christopher Datol, Vibal Head of Publishing. “Complex ideas are simplified and made more interesting through the use of visual 3D models, videos, and auditory features, thus making it easier for students to understand difficult concepts.”

The application integrates the use of Augmented Reality technology which incorporates digital graphics, sounds and sensory experiences into an experiential walkthrough to enhance the learner’s experience and can only be used exclusively for Vibal textbooks.

“We are launching the LearnLive app, where textbooks come alive with the country’s first textbook with augmented reality enhancement,” said Vibal Head of Marketing Rio Lim.
