Cute and colorful characters are visiting SM City North Edsa this holiday season.
The Quezon City mall celebrates a Glitter Critter Christmas as a treat to kids. Leading the festivities are the mall’s Glitter Critter characters from the Planet Hapitu, who are on a mission, led by Cap, to find the happiest place in the universe—which, obviously, they found at SM North.
Cap is joined by Boom, Chum, Lox, Oola, Lala, Puchik, Ching, Twinkle, Mick, Baloo, and Baba.
Upon their arrival, the Glitter Critters have transformed The Block and Skygarden into a happy play park in glittering lights where they play around and enjoy the holiday season.
At the Skygarden, mall-goers can find Glitter Critter play park installations: the KIDS Mountain, the Space Shuttle Sleigh, which Baloo and Baba pilot to deliver gifts and Christmas magic; and the Fun Christmas Roller Coaster Ride, which kids can share with their new-found friends.
Some of the guests who were seen having fun during the launch were Brazilian-Japanese model Vanessa Matsunaga-Sunga, Camille Prats-Yambao and VJ Yambao with their son Nathan and daughter Nala, Dimples Romana and son Alonso, Aubrey Miles and Troy Montero with son Hunter, Princess Velasco with son Kobe, and child star Xia Vigor.
The Glitter Critter gang will return on Nov. 17 and 24, and on Dec. 1, 8, 15, 22, and 29 at The Block and Skygarden for meet and greet sessions.
During the meet and greet, guests will meet Oola and Lala, parent and kid critter who love to dress up and design; Boom, the DJ of the critter planet who loves music; Chum, the always hungry critter who thinks of food all the time; and Lox, the mischievous critter who stalks Cap, sneaking into the ship to join the expedition.
Further, kids will be spellbound with A Magical Science Show by Nutty Scientist on Nov. 30 and Dec. 16; and get a chance to share their wishes as they Meet and Greet Santa on Dec. 2, 9, 23, 24, and 25, at The Block Atrium.
Aside from programs and activities for kids, live performances by the NU Chorale, Ben & Ben, Keiko Necessario, Leanne & Naara, and December Avenue are scheduled on Dec. 7.
Finally, northern skies will light up during the Grand Fireworks Display on Dec. 15, 22, and 29.
