Nonito "The Filipino Flash” Donaire is the new World Boxing Association bantamweight super champion.

Donaire got the crown when the fight ended in the fourth round as he won over Irish boxer Ryan Burnett, who suffered a back injury in the third round.

It was the first fight of Burnett’s career in which he faced a good puncher, according to reports, and he wasn’t ready for it.

Burnett, who now has a 19-1 win-loss record, including, 9 knockouts, was doing good in the first two rounds against Donaire (39-5, 25 KOs).

But the Filipino Flash stood his ground as well, taking the third and fourth rounds.

It was over in the fourth round when Burnett missed on a right hand and fell on his knee immediately, clutching at his lower back.

He got up and finished the round, with Donaire continuously hitting on Burnett.

The round ended with Burnett going back to his corner, clearly hurting, and the fight was called off there.

This gave Donaire the WBA super world title at 118 pounds, his first fight at that weight in seven years.

Fans looked at Donaire for being professional and gentlemanly when he repeatedly checked on Burnett.
