The Design Center of the Philippines kicks off today the 10th edition of Design Week Philippines (DWP) — to run until October 21 — at Malingap Central in Quezon City, Robins Design Center in Ortigas, Intramuros and The Alley at Karrivin in Makati, and. Workshops, talks, and other activities will be held in these venues. Design Week Philippines is a bi-annual multi-faceted platform that brings together visionaries from diverse creative backgrounds and disciplines in a series of programs and events that foster creativity and spur innovations. “Design Week Philippines acts as the force that gathers trailblazers, tinkerers, creatives, and designers in a central interactive platform,” said Rhea O. Matute, executive director of Design Center. “ The pool of ideas and best from this collaboration will hopefully usher in trade opportunities in the Philippine design industry.”  Among the activities on tap will be a furniture design masterclass by SoFA Design Institute, talks on sustainable design leadership with the MUNI Community, NCCA art workshops, and an animation master class by Toon City.
