The Playlist, an online concert series housed under GMA Network’s portal, GMANetwork.com, has undergone a complete revamp as netizens can now watch high-resolution song numbers from various celebrities.
New content will be uploaded every Wednesday.
Since it was launched in 2014, Playlist has featured performances from Julie Anne San Jose, Kylie Padilla, James Wright, Rita Daniela, and Top One Project, among others.
Kylie, who plays Amihan in the 2016 remake of Encantadia, recalled her Playlist experience and described it as one-of-a-kind.
“I love it! Sana nga mas marami [pang ganitong opportunities for artists to serenade their fans]. I’m also a fan of [different] artists so seeing them go on [events] like that, parang mas nakakapag-connect ka [with them],” she said.
First on the all-new Playlist is her fellow Sang’gre Gabbi Garcia, whose performances were uploaded on July 27 and may now be viewed on the website by her fans, along with past videos of other Kapuso stars. One of the two songs she covered was Spongecola’s “Pag-ibig,” which she felt was apt for her telefantasya character and her own personality.
“Yung song is good vibes lang. [It’s nice to listen to] pagka-in love ka, good vibes ka, masaya ka… Kung ire -relate ko siya sa ‘kin… ako kasi, I’m a happy person. Lahat ng makikita ko is ginagawa ko siyang positive. I see the brighter side,” she declared.
