So, what is it that international R&B sensation and star of newest reality show The Ultimate BROcation Billy Crawford loves to do whenever he comes to Asia’s World City? Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) asks the recording artist and host where he brings his loved ones when they vacation in Hong Kong.
Billy’s an avid traveler, but he maintains that Hong Kong is still his top vacation destination. “It is so near the Philippines, so the accessibility of going to Hong Kong and getting around the city is great,” he explains. “You can do everything in Hong Kong—you can party with the best of them, you can shop the greatest items, and you can just walk around and see different and interesting things.”
Just like any traveler, Billy has his favorite spots in the city. It only took one visit to Cabana for the bar to make it to his list. The rooftop terrace bar located on Repulse Bay is a posh escape from the city, with its sunken baths, linen day beds, and private cabins. The romantic spot boasts a stunning view of the beach, somewhere Billy has always wanted to take his girlfriend to whenver they’re in Hong Kong.
Aside from gorgeous sceneries, the food is one of the reasons why every traveler comes to Hong Kong. Billy has his own set of go-to places for a delicious bite. “I would take my family to Lily & Bloom,” he shares. The resto-bar located within Lan Kwai Fong serves contemporary American fare on the first level and unique drink concoctions on the second level. The swanky establishment decked out in 1920s-inspired décor is a great place for celebrating a special occasion or just treating your loved ones to good food.
Although located in a nightlife district, Lily & Bloom is still accommodating to families with kids, thanks to their fun and interactive Kids Corner on the sixth floor. “It would be a treat to take my family to one of my favorite restaurants in Hong Kong,” Billy says.
Of course, he also does not skip out on sampling authentic Hong Kong food while in the city. A place he cannot wait to come back to with his friends is Market Hotpot in Mong Kok. “This is definitely one of my favorite food experiences in Hong Kong,” shares Billy. The spacious restaurant is set up to look like a market with stalls selling meat, vegetables, seafood and the like to give customers the feel of dining in a real market.
“This place gives you a feel of how the locals eat, but with a fun twist” shares the star of The Ultimate BROcation. The restaurant, which seats over a hundred people, is a great place for big groups to enjoy the best of Hong Kong’s cuisine.
The busy singer and host is already excited to plan his next trip to Asia’s World City. Billy says that every time he visits the city, he finds a new place that he loves.
