Dining on board Delta

Delta is featuring fresh, local flavors of fall on board in various cabins throughout its network.

In honor of the 150th anniversary of the Jack Daniel Distillery, three new signature cocktails are being served on board including:

Jack’s Birthday Classic was available on all domestic flights in September, the quintessential Jack Daniel’s cocktail, combing Jack Daniel’s Old No. 7 with Coca-Cola (also available with Coke Zero or Diet Coke) and garnished with lime.

Jack’s Barrel Celebration, combining Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel with the seasonal flavors of apple juice and ginger ale, Jack’s Barrel Celebration will be available in Delta One on all international flights until Nov. 30.

Holeman and Finch’s JD Single Barrel Classic, Chef Linton Hopkins’ creation that blends the bold flavors of Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel with the smooth notes of citrus, ginger, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg and star anise found in the special mixer is offered in Delta One on all routes featuring Chef Hopkins’ menu also till the end of November.

In addition to Jack Daniel’s signature cocktails, Delta One customers flying on select trans-Atlantic and transcontinental flights will enjoy meals thoughtfully handcrafted by North End Grill’s  Executive Chef Eric Korsh, the latest chef from Danny Meyer’s Union Square Hospitality Group to be featured on board Delta flights.

Delta’s consulting chefs Linton Hopkins and Michelle Bernstein have also artfully created menus using ingredients produced by local purveyors and artisan suppliers to incorporate flavors of the season. Transitioning from the fresh, light tastes of summer to heavier, richer fare, the airline’s menus are designed around fall harvest ingredients like root vegetables, legumes, wild mushrooms, beets and potatoes.

Chef Hopkin’s menu is featured on outbound flights from ATL to select European cities, and customers on select flights between the U.S. and South America will enjoy a taste of Chef Bernstein’s Mexican-inspired seasonal dishes.

The latest menus pair with Delta’s 2016 wine program curated by Master Sommelier Andrea Robinson, which follows a similarly seasonal approach. Robinson has sourced a number of locally-made wines from small, artisanal wineries that bring a flavor and body uniquely their own. This season’s wine selections have an overall richer quality to stand up to the fresh fall flavors.

Customers traveling on First Class on all long-haul North America flights out of Atlanta will experience Dark Chocolate gelato, the new fall rotation, from one of Atlanta’s favorite shops Honeysuckle Gelato. Delta began serving Honeysuckle Gelato on board in the summer of 2015, and continually offers seasonal refreshes for customers.

Leaving no stone unturned, First Class and Delta Comfort+ snack baskets also received a fall refresh to provide a seasonal culinary experience to customers. The First Class refresh includes Pumpkin Walnut Breakfast Cookies, Emerald’s To-Go Maple & Brown Sugar Oatmeal Nut Blend and Michael Et Augustin Milk Chocolate & Caramel Cookie Squares; while the Delta Comfort + basket includes Mrs. Mays Almond Cranberry Bars and Made Good Apple Cinnamon Granola Bars.
