My Furry Bestie

This corner features pets of animal lovers every week. We hope new owners and those thinking of getting a pet will be encouraged to be responsible “furparents” through these features. We also hope more people will be moved to be kind to animals when they read about the great relationship that can be created between humans and animals.

My Furry Bestie, Mallone

MALLONE, a one-month-old mixed breed baby, is one playful pup, says his parent Este Briones.

“He loves following me around the house and bites my slipper to get my attention which would mean, ‘carry me!’,” says Este.

“Mallone loves hotdogs and pandesal. He loves morning walks and chillin’ in the park,” adds  Este.`

My Furry Bestie, Chubi

CHUBI, now one year old, was rescued while walking around the subdivision. He was only a puppy then, says rescuer and adopter Sydney Telan.

“I found him looking so lost. He was walking around the subdivision. He was so dirty and his right eye was half closed. I assumed it was hurt. I went around carrying him hoping his owner was just within the vicinity. Unfortunately, no one came for him. I decided to give him a home, “ Sydney recalls.

“I gave him dog food, then I bathe him. He felt comfortable afterwards and slept on a pillow for the longest time, “ says Sydney.

“I  guess he was out the whole day looking for his owner. I told the barangay if someone will come looking for a puppy, just send them straight to my house. Up to this day, no one came to claim Chubi, “ Sydney says.

“Somehow, I felt happy because I can continue taking care of him and loving him forever. I love him like crazy,” says Sydney.
