iPhoto: Forum discusses importance of vaccination

In celebration of World Immunization Week, Pfizer, together with American Chamber of Commerce, held a forum on the importance of vaccinations. The forum discussed the different issues surrounding vaccinations in the Philippines and how to address the problems.

“Everybody must do their part in helping spread the correct information about vaccinations. With good vaccine coverage, we could prevent as many as 2.5 million deaths globally. By vaccinating your children, you could easily prevent diseases such as measles and polio,” said Dr. Bravo.

In the past few years, the Philippines has experienced a dramatic drop in vaccine confidence, from 90 percent coverage in 2015, to only 35 percent coverage in 2018.
